Fast forward to today's art scene, and we see a shift. Artists like Edgar Degas depict the everydayness of naked movement, while Hildegarde Handsaeme celebrates diversity through colorful, abstract portrayals of the female body. They showcase the beauty of the human form beyond just its sexual aspects.

Art doesn’t just see the body as a sexual object. It sees it as a canvas for shapes, colors, stories, and movements. It can be intimate, revealing parts of ourselves we've been told to hide, but it's not solely about sex.

Yet, the naked body in art has always been controversial, even in the Renaissance when many works were only seen by a select few. Today, in the era of social media and its algorithms, censorship of art that includes nudity remains a contentious issue, often stifling artistic expression under the guise of propriety.
